Job Description

Job Summary: Responsible for recruiting company drivers and independent contractors Essential Functions:
• Field phone calls from prospective drivers and provide candidates with information about company benefits such as; pay, benefits, truck leasing, and hiring standards and procedures
• Inbound and outbound recruiting efforts to promote and sell the company to driver candidates where leads are generated through research marketing and advertising
• Conduct telephone interviews with driver applicants where information is gathered on the individual to qualify or disqualify as a potential hire
• Responsible for entering responses and candidate information into the Taleo recruiting database
• Order and validate necessary reports and perform telephone reference checks to ensure accurate information has been provided by the applicant and ultimately qualifying or disqualifying the candidate for hire
• Review and evaluate driver applicants/information and make an offer to attend certification class to qualified applicants
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality with applicant personal information and legal records
• Conduct follow-up interviews with hired drivers to assess their satisfaction with company working conditions
• Collaborate with third party recruiting vendors to increase driver talent pool
• Foster relationships with new drivers and encourage participation in our internal company referral program
• Conduct talent recruiting by utilizing telephone sales/marketing skills
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure driver completes the orientation process and successfully begins working

Knowledge and Experience:
• Graduation from high school or equivalent
• Knowledge of Windows-based software, including Microsoft office
• Proficiency in Excel beyond the basic level
• Experience in detailed work processes and quality output with a high attention to detail
• Typing skills sufficient to perform job functions
• Proven skill in oral communications and interviewing techniques Skills and Competencies:

• Communicating Effectively — Writes and presents effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message; strongly gets a message across Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment and a light industrial environment, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office equipment and industrial equipment.
